Why do I see law enforcement officers from other agencies in Cary?

There are currently two reasons that you may see law enforcement officers from other agencies in Cary:

1. If there is concurrent jurisdiction, meaning that both the State of Illinois and the Village of Cary have jurisdiction over a case.

2. The McHenry County Regional Training Center is located in Cary. Currently, the Village of Cary has partnered with law enforcement agencies from nearby villages to create a law enforcement training center for the purpose of keeping our officers prepared and fit.
