1. Who do I call to report a dead animal in the street?

To report a dead animal in the street, contact the Public Works Department at (847) 639-0003. The department will respond as quickly as possible.

2. How many domesticated animals can I have on my property?

The Village permits a total of three (3) domesticated animals (cat, dog or combination thereof) per residence.

3. Do I have to license and register my pet?

You are not required to license and register your pet with the Village of Cary, however, McHenry County does require your pet to be registered and vaccinated. Contact McHenry County Animal Control and Adoption Center at (815) 459-6222 for more information.

4. There is a wild animal in my house or on my property. What do I do?

5. Does the Village prohibit a particular breed of dog?

No. There are no restrictions on the type of dog that you can have.
