Drug Take Back Event - Saturday, October 23rd

Posted on October 13, 2021 at 4:16 PM by Susan Greene

On Saturday, October 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Village of Cary and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills or patches to the Village of Cary Police Department at 654 Village Hall Drive for proper disposal. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. **Please note that no syringes or  liquids will be accepted.

Personnel will be available at the Cary Police Department to accept prescription drug drop-offs between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Police Department also has a permanent drug drop off container in the lobby of the Police Station if residents are unable to attend this event.

For more information about the disposal of prescription drugs or about the October 23rd Take Back Day event, go to the DEA Diversion website or contact the Cary Police Department non-emergency line at 847-639-2341.
