Election Information

   
The next election for open Trustee positions will be April 2, 2019.  
    

Petitions for Candidacy for one (1) Village Clerk and three (3) Board of Trustee seats will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Cary Village Hall located at 655 Village Hall Drive. The first day to circulate nomination papers is September 18, 2018. 

The term of office for each Board of trustee position is four (4) years. The term of office for the Village Clerk is two (2) years.

To qualify to hold office a candidate must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a registered voter in the Village of Cary
  • Reside in the Village for at least one year preceding the election
  • Must not be in arrears in the payment of any tax or other indebtedness due the Village
  • Must not have been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony
Petition filing will begin at 8:30 a.m. on December 10, 2018 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on December 17, 2018. Village Hall will be open during this time Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to receive filings.
