Teen Driver Safety

Teen Driving
The State of Illinois utilizes a Graduated Driver's License (GDL) Law for teen drivers. Details on the phases of a GDL can be found on the Illinois Secretary of State website.

Teen Passengers
Illinois law prohibits persons between the ages of 15 and 20 to be a passenger in a vehicle operated by a driver holding a GDL during the first 12 months that the driver holds the license, (or until the driver turns age 18, whichever occurs first) if another person under the age of 20 is present.

WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE OF CARY

The Village of Cary recently put together the finishing touches on a new promotional video for the community. The video has been a project spearheaded by the Village's Economic Development Task Force over the past year and was produced by Waysound Recording. It will be utilized for economic development and marketing purposes and provides a quick overview of the many benefits Cary has to offer to potential residents and businesses. The video can be found on YouTube. Highlights include the multitude of recreational activities available locally, recent community rankings, business environment, local school system, and community events which are held throughout the year.
