Tips to Keep Children Safe
While the winter season can be a fun time for children, it is important to make them aware of some of the potential hazards associated with snowplowing.
- Keep children from playing in the streets or along parkways while the snowplows are in operation.
- Do not dig forts or build slides in the piles of snow along parkways or cul-de-sacs. These can collapse and cause children to slide into the street.
Public Works vehicles may not see children present when plowing and serious injury could result.
