Village of Cary - Board of Zoning, Planning & Appeals
The Board of Zoning, Planning and Appeals consists of seven regular members and one associate member who are residents of the Village and appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Village Board. Each appointment is for a 5-year term.
The main duties of the Board of Zoning, Planning and Appeals are to make recommendations to the Village Board on land use issues pertaining to the Village's Zoning Ordinance, including proposed variations, text amendments, map amendments, conditional use permits, and appeals of decisions made by the Zoning Administrator. The Board of Zoning, Planning and Appeals typically meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
