Economic Opportunities. Jobs and business growth programs are available through the State Treasurer’s Office. Below you’ll find a short description of each of the economic opportunity programs offered by the Treasurer:

• State Treasurer’s Economic Loan Program (STEP)
  Provides Illinois companies with access to affordable capital to expand their operations, creating or retaining jobs in the state.
• STEP Small Business Program
  Encourages the creation and retention of jobs and business activity.
• Economic Recovery Loan Program (ER)
  Focuses on bringing new jobs to Illinois.
• Day Care Initiative Loan Program
  Provides Illinois day care providers with the access to affordable capital needed to open or expand their business.
