The Village’s annual hydrant flushing program will begin on Monday, May 7th. The project is expected to take approximately two weeks to finish, weather permitting. There are over 1,000 hydrants in the Village. Hydrants located south of Route 14 will be flushed first. Flushing the hydrants will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Before the flushing program begins, informational signs will be posted throughout the area where the program is being implemented. During the process of flushing, water that comes out of your tap may appear rust-colored. Residents are encouraged to take precautions when doing laundry and let the water run for several minutes until it becomes clear.
