Yellow DOT is a statewide initiative designed to provide vital medical information on vehicle drivers and passengers, should they be involved in a car crash. Participants can choose to make specific information available to responding medical personnel by filling out a Yellow DOT medical card and placing it in the vehicle's glove compartment. Information contained on medical cards should include a photo to help identify the proper person, emergency contact information, medical conditions, allergies and current medications. A Yellow DOT decal must be placed on the rear-facing window on the driver's side. This decal will alert the first responders that medical information is contained in the vehicle.
